Thanks again Yoann Rodière, I’ve created https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-16773 as an improvement that will also solve this issue in PostgreSQL for top-level queries.

Going to close this issue as this is not a bug, I will still fix the sub-query case which is indeed a problem.
