Also, please note this behavior is not new at all. Apparently it's been like this at least since 2015, when lazy loading was added to bytecode enhancement, so at least since ORM 5.0.

That's not a reason to keep things this way, of course, but that will put things into perspective when we'll need to prioritize other tasks.
