Would it also be possible to cherry pick your fix to the hibernate 5.2 branch as well? We are currently using Hibernate 5.1 and plan to upgrade to 5.2 before actually applying 5.3 to our code base. If it will not cause to much effort, it would be a great help for us to also have this fix applied to 5.2.
