Rejecting this one. As mentioned on HHH-2669, there is no difference between the 3 types, as far as overhead is concerned. As with other aspects of any Dialect, no solution is going to work for 100% of users. We can't switch back to using the 3 types, as many users now rely on longtext as the default.
If your schema has mediumtext or text, please use those types in your mapping. Or, extend the Dialect and add-in those commented-out lines.
