That's imo the way to go. Not only are you working an standardized API, but you will benefit from other bug and performance fixes.

Sure. I am glad you reported it. I am not going to close the issue for now. Maybe we stumble across the problem when doing another maintenance release or so. just saying, it won't be high priority.
The only I noticed is methodMetaData.getAllParameterMetaData() here doesn't contain any of constraints in parameter metadata in case when validation passes. And contains when validation works as expected.
