I ran the test again and see that org.hibernate.boot.internal.ClassLoaderAccessImpl.classForName() is using the jpaTempClassLoader. I think that I built your changes correctly but something could be wrong in my local environment. http://pastebin.com/2Ui1nNMQ shows the call stack for the call into classForName().
