I'd like to get this fixed in the next 4.3 release and in 5.0.0. Could someone please create a test case in org.hibernate.envers.test.entities.components.converter (a new package) that reproduces this? It would be preferable if the test case and fix were provided as a pull request ((https://github.com/hibernate/hibernate-orm/wiki/Contributing-Code); attaching a test case to this Jira would also be acceptable.
