Right. UNION in the current parser was a proof of concept of supporting that in HQL. Its not really supported. I'm inclined to simply remove the feature from 5.x grammars. So that is to be the outcome from this issue...

We are working on a completely new set of grammars, and we'll see about getting it added there - HHH-1050
