That's true. The example I put above was about a problem we had in the presentation layer (no persistence in there). Our validation in this layer was taken the JPA2 provider of our persistence layer... and some others in our WL installation and crashed so, for us this solution was perfectly valid because we didn't need JPA2 in that layer.

HV-425

Validation fails on WebLogic 10.3.4 with HV 4.2.0.Beta1. WebLogic has been patched with patch QWG8 (Enable JPA 2.0 support on WebLogic Server. CR/BUG 9923849).
With WebLogic version 10.3.3, HV works.
