When working on a feature, it is usual to run several mvn clean install which happen to create the doc, build the javadoc, run the checkstyle plugin and maybe other unrelated tasks.

It would be nice to be able to exclude these peripheral tasks and save seconds during the quick iterative cycles.

mvn clean install -DtestOnly

or something like that.
