I would like to consider other tools but we don't have that option in Search. In this case (OGM) maybe we could, but it will make production very much an uphill political battle - more than what it would ordinarily be.

I understand that ANT is a different beast. That's the the point, the point is that it very easily lists which tasks are available and how to invoke them, with a single simple name each. For Maven, it would be a step in the right direction to at least document them all in an easy to catch place such as the root source directory.
