Sure that would work. We can also generate the input file for the redirect page creation as part of the importer process. Only drawback of course is that it adds to build time (at least in production) and it is not as flexible as the Apache redirect syntax.

On the other hand, thinking about the lace URLs. There won't be a regular expression which would work. There we need a one to one mapping either way.
