thanks Jan Martiška, we look into it asap. If the problem really lies in the IBM JVM I am not sure whether we can do something about this. We need to investigate. Note that even with the Oracle JVM we required at least 1.8.0-20, since earlier releases had also a bug in the reflection API when it came to type annotations.
