Koen Aers Did you ever get to a success point using the Eclipse support for importing Gradle projects? IMO that is the correct solution as opposed to the approach in the PR (falling back to the legacy IDE project generation tasks from command line with Gradle). Maybe the work in the PR gives you some clues about how to move forward with that?
