Are there any updates on this issue? Manually initializing large and complex existing databases is tedious and terribly error-prone. I'd really appreciate a mechanism to have this handled by Envers, similar to table auto-creation. A config flag for switching some "initialization mode" on/off would seem appropriate here.

I understand the nature behind having to manually seed the Envers schema, and as I mentioned previously it is something I wish to explore. I do encourage those interested in such a feature to feel free to contribute if you wish; otherwise, I'll get to this feature request as time permits.
