Thanks for reporting back, Andy Guibert. The thing is, from what I understand there's no notion of "profiles" foreseen for TCK currently, it's rather an all-or-nothing thing.

But after some more discussion with Guillaume Smet I agree that we should not require JavaFX as part of the Java EE testing. So we'd exclude those tests by default (as the in-container testing is the authoritative mode for running the TCK), so the suite can be run without JavaFX. We'll provide a way for opting in into running the JavaFX tests and add strong recommendation for running this part, too (either in container if doable, or out of container in cases like yours).
