What is your actual problem? Also, the JPATraversableResolver in Hibernate Validator uses Persistence.getPersistenceUtil() in its implementation. It might be that under the hood PersistenceUtilHelper is involved, but that is really a class of Hibernate ORM. Either way, it would help to know abut the problem you are having.
