| Hibernate makes use of bytebuddy to enhance classes at runtime and collects a rich set of meta-data about the entity model. It would helpful if the former (and maybe also the later) is supported at compile-time. This to allow lowering the footprint and improve startup times. Potentially to further ease ahead-of-time compilation in a second step. With micro-services and serverless applications, footprint and startup time become more and more a concern. Given the widespread use of Hibernate, I suspect many users could benefit from this. |
