While I certainly agree that the "goal of a Dialect is specifically to deal with database-specific attributes", how exactly does that invalidate my statement that this is a bug in H2? Thomas is of course allowed to have his own opinion about what is or is not a bug as far as H2 is concerned. But to me if I pass a value to a "black box" and it accepts it and I then ask for that thing back only to get something else... well to me that is a bug.
