But I think we validate getters when passed to the validation methods, right? My understanding is that the engine is (or should be) agnostic to getters vs. non-getters and only integrators should exclude getters by default.

There is this sentence (which I think you refer to)

"Getters are not considered constrained methods by default (see Section 10.1.2, “Method and constructor validation”)."

in section 4.5; Maybe we should remove this, as it refers to integration anyways and in the integration chapter getters are excluded by default again?
