Sure but that's the issue with struggling with supporting JDK 11 early. We have to make compromises as all the projects we depend on might not be ready.

I prefer this rather than not trying to support JDK 11 early. This way we are not in the way of other components depending on us.

That being said, if I had thought it would have been in the published pom files, I probably would have chosen another solution.
