Could you try to create a self contained test case with our test template: https://github.com/hibernate/hibernate-test-case-templates/tree/master/validator ? I think it should only be a matter of creating a bean with your model in the template.

It's hard to reproduce the issue without an idea of the underlying ObjectNode element.

Once we're able to reproduce the issue, we'll work on a fix.
