Hello Tomáš Müller, this issue looks like a duplicate of https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-16488 which was fixed in version 6.2.2 (along with other self-reference query improvements, see https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-16382).

Could you please test with the latest version and let us know if it fixes your case too?
