thanks for the update. I was now able to reproduce the problem. It is actually caused by the fact that AbstractSimpleService is using generics as well. I pushed a testcase to https://github.com/hferentschik/hibernate-validator/commit/6f36138539784b6ed030f9684b43d56c0a0d0fa9.

I need to dig deeper into the code to understand the problem.
