I was simply saying I don't understand infinispan and how it works (as we don't use it), so I can't speak to whether the faceting feature has to live outside of the Lucene engine or not due to implementation details.

Cool that the wrapper was an easy change. Is there a snapshot maven repo we can pull from, I can try and profile the change and see how performs.
