Hi, there's a new option "hibernate.validator.temporal_validation_tolerance" as of HV-1493 Closed (released in 6.0.5) for this purpose. This should do the trick for you? We also looked for annotation-based approaches as you suggest, but it wasn't really practicable, esp. you can't have a method call (or even reference) in an annotation.
