Regarding the unit test, you can do as follows.

1. Check this unit test on one of my GitHub repositories.
2. You need to extend EmptyInterceptor and throw an exception in the overridden beforeTransactionCompletion method.
3. Supply the new interceptor to the Session like in this test.
