I'm switching to KISS model using the proven support in JUnit for temporary files.

-1 What is the problem now? It used to work. Is it just a new test which does not work? The infrastructure is in place, so I'd rather stick to what we have. If one needs to inspect the indexes, one knows at least where they are.
