Aurelien DROUARD, good catches in the "unique-key" documentation – following up with HHH-8273.

It's problematic if the unique-key attribute value is not unique in the mapping, or is too long.

I'd argue that's a problem with the mappings, not Hibernate. Supporting explicitly-named constraints is vital.
