But indepentently from OSGi, you can start and stop a thing several times (making start/stop good terms for OSGi services where this is the semantics), while you can create/destroy a thing only once (making post-construct/pre-destroy good terms for e.g. CDI where this is the semantics). Depending on the semantics of the case at hand (which I'm not sure about), one or the other may be the better fit.
