It builds fine with the latest jdk 1.7 on OS X Yosemite.

Unfortunately it has't resolved the issue. I've created a github repo maven project containing the test case in the main description, making it easier to run. You can find it here .

I've tried it on latest of both 5.0.0 and 4.3
