Thanks for your efforts, but I think those numbers are quite misleading. Assuming that "SC" stands for source compatibility, they seem to ignore the fact whether an interface is meant to be called or implemented. Most of BV's APIs fall into the former category, and adding methods to called interfaces is completely source-compatible. FWIW, we've spent a lot of time to ensure backwards compatability, running analyses (including tools such as JapiCmp and SigTest), and I'm not aware of any actual issues (I should point out that it's a matter very close to my heart). I'm going to close this issue, as it seems not actionable on our end. Thanks! |
