The role that I'm in doesn't allow me to contribute to Hibernate. However, the Stack Overflow post that I linked to in the description should contain all of the information needed for someone who is able to contribute to easily do so. It is the best interest of both Hibernate and WebSphere Application Server Liberty for both products to interoperate well with each other, so hopefully someone will be able to pick this up. I'm also happy to answer any questions that may arise regarding this issue to the best of my ability.
