I have added a Pull Request that outlines another problem. That is when a parameter is included in the select, but it is only in the subclass that is accessed via the join.

Ultimately, what I am looking for is for the query to select all Settlements that have no SettlementExtensions, as well as Settlements that have EwtAssessmentExtensions.
