Gunnar Morling - the release howto - https://community.jboss.org/wiki/ReleasingHibernateValidator - says to use:

 mvn release:prepare -s settings-example.xml -Dmaven.repo.local=/path/to/local/repo -DpushChanges=false

Is this enough or do you think we need to add a release settings file to the repo?
