Is it going to be possible to get any traction on this issue?

Between the two issues I have logged, it is currently impossible to safely utilized these two features together in the latest versions of Hibernate.

• Enabling Batch Fetching
• Using Hibernate to lock and refresh entities already loaded

Seems like a fairly serious limitation.
