@Ted I don't have the time to test it, but I mean the workaround with cascading the PERSIST worked. The other obvious workaround (if I am allowed to call it so) is to delete manually the entities. And I also believe, we (we both + Eclipse people on one side and Hibernate on the other) do understand the specification differently, which is very bad....
