That makes no sense. Please post the full stack trace. Hibernate just delegates the deserialization to Jackson or JSONB, so it’s up to that library to figure out how to deserialize this properly. AFAIK, you need either an empty constructor and setters or a @JsonCreator annotated constructor for constructor injection.
