another issue with the tool used by hardy for docbook -> asciidoc conversion was that it lost markup such as classname, methodname etc.
would be interesting to see whether we can retain these for the BV spec

I think this is possible. AFAIR I even found the place in the style cheats where it would need to be done. The problem was that after the initial transformation I started a manual review. This was almost complete by the time we discovered the lost formatting. It felt it was easier to continue and then later add the lost styles than re-converting and starting the manual process again.
