Ok so today I was getting quite confused because of this, as I was quite sure this was the case already.
The documentation doesn't even make a clear differentiation between "mandatory" properties and optional properties which have a sensible default.

I'm pretty sure that this would work already in the very early days of OGM, as back then I could use a trick to debug the dialect I wanted without needing to copy test files across projects.

So it's rather a regression; also I've been actually explaining this at user groups as something which you wouldn't need to care for
