As I mentioned on the pull request, I applied it as-is for the most part.

But I would like to further discuss:

The laziness of ExecutableList#querySpaces (I renamed from ExecutableList#spaces), as commented above.
The immediate invalidation of sorting on both add and remove as I mentioned as pull request line comments.

So I'll leave this open for the time being.

Analyzing what our application is mainly doing during flush/commit,
we saw that very often the concerning thread is executing in jbosscache stuff (see 2 sample stacktraces below).
Analyzing the code we discovered that, if doing 1000 inserts for a determinate entity:
-on flush UpdateTimestampsCache.preinvalidate() is called 1000 times for the same space ...
