Description:

Hibernate appears to produce an incorrect query when selecting an entity and aggregating using GROUP BY. See the test case in https://hibernate.onjira.com/browse/JPA-34 , where this bug was originally filed.

This was originally misfiled as JPA-32 (https://hibernate.onjira.com/browse/JPA-34). I'm re-filing it here on Stephan's behalf. Please migrate the original and delete this one if possible.
Environment: Original reporter's environment may differ. Reproduced in:

java version "1.7.0_05-icedtea"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (fedora-2.2.1.fc17.9-x86_64)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.0-b21, mixed mode)

No container, standalone Java SE.
