We've got bitten by this issue too. Since it's on "awaiting test case" I made a simple example which throws this exception:

I've checked it on Hibernate 5.2 and it seems fixed, but we're deploying to Wildfly 10.1 (just released) which still has Hibernate 5.0 (and this problem).
