The test now passes, and the generated SQL is correct:

    s1_0.id,
    p1_0.id 
from
    subpart s1_0 
join
    subpart p1_0 
        on p1_0.id=s1_0.parent

So, the issue appears to be fixed in Hibernate 6.2.2.
