The fix implemented for HHH-4635 Closed only sets the org.hibernate.mapping.Property.lob field in entities configured with @Lob annotation. This does neither work for hbm based definitions (see HHH-8382 Awaiting Response ) nor for envers generated definitions ( HHH-12186 Open ).
