evilorange thanks for the test case, we will look into it. It's probably due to all the improvements that were made on the annotation processor in the 5.4 development cycle.

Do you confirm it works with 5.3.x but not with 5.4.x and 6.0.x? You added 5.3.5.Final in the affected versions whereas it seems you're saying it works OK with 5.3.5.Final.
