Ah ok, I thought the escaping character was $, but you're right if the brackets are included. In our chat yesterday we didn't use the brackets so it looked like we had a misunderstanding of what we had discussed. My point was to tress we need a way to signal both the start block of the OGM specific marker and the end point.

If you pick 1. and then want to evolve to 2. or 3., you might break existing applications using 1. as they need to escape eventually used special characters being used in their existing queries.
