What is your approach on this? There is an official repository at https://github.com/neo4j/neo4j-ogm which uses >= 2.2 Version of Neo4j with internal Transaction a custom Transaction Handling. In Neo4j 2.2 major improvements in cypher where introduced allowing it to perform read and write operations up to a hundred times faster as in NEO4j 2.1 and older.
