That's a lot of great research but a majority of what you've specified is all related to Spring. I believe your issue might be better served by opening a related issue under spring-data-envers and allowing their team to look into this use case because I'm not convinced this is something which is broken in Envers proper at this point. Please feel free to link the spring-data-envers issue to this one in a comment so that I can at least monitor the issue & offer any feedback from our side if needed.
