Rafael Winterhalter We do not integrate checkstyle into the IDE as part of the build because Gradle does not (did not when I did all this) support that. If your IDE supports checkstyle you can point them to our config (shared/config/checkstyle/checkstyle.xml).

WRT cache... yes it is safe to assume that Hibernate will hold a reference to the built proxy class. I think that is what you are asking.

I am not sure about any specific uses of Javassist in hibernate-envers. Chris Cranford?
